Inspired by Nature-Again

Hmm flash photography not so great...will stick to natural light next time. I saw the idea somewhere of using both gold and silver embossing powder and loved the idea...it looks so much better in real life (trust me?) I used markers to stamp the flower and then stamped  En Francais background  over the top with versamark and embossed with silver and gold...The gold around the edges was done with a gold face painting crayon...it actually worked quite well..glad I rescued it from my daughters room clean up a while ago!

Chocolate Bunny

Well one good thing came out of cleaning up my stamping room...I forgot I had even bought this cute little stamp! I used Inpired by nature for the grass, the bobbley leaf thingo is out of the Always set and the flowers are Boho Blossoms. I should have stamped the rabbit onto Close to Cocoa and cut him out....will do that next time I think

Punch Art Gift Card Holders

I have just finished making the last of my gift card holders for Christmas..yippee!! I came across some lovely punch art as I was browsing the internet and did actually write down the names of the people I cased...however an accident with a camera cord (as in it brushed against my leg, I thought it was a creepy crawly and freaked out and jumped up knocking a cup of coffee all over my notes)...so as soon as I find out more details I will give credit ..  I only remember that this cute snowman was designed by a lady who lives on the sunshine coast in Queensland..She is so clever it's the nicest snowman I have seen...if anyone knows her name please let me know. This one is for my daughter Haley
footnote...I found the name..its Rochelle Hopkinson..I have no idea how to do a link, sorry (Computer stuff is NOT my forte)

I do remember who designed this cute little penguin as it was my upline Angie Brown and she would kill me if I forgot lol..this is for my daughter Jodie
I made this for my mother -in - law as the big open mouth looked familiar (only kidding Lizzie..yikes!) It was designed by Jackie Topa...such a clever lady...I didn't have all the punches I needed for this one so my handcut ovals look a bit naff!
I has so much fun doing all that punch art I decided..buggar it!! I am going to have a go at making one myself...so I came up with this xmas fairy/ angel based on the design of the wrapping paper in which I wrapped my grand daughters Xmas presents..I tried to make a halo but it looked blah! so I just put a bling flower in her hair. All Stampin' Up! punches-scallop circle for the dress, word window for legs shoes and arms, butterfly punch for wings, 1 inch circle for head and hair and a smaller one for her bun...This one will go to my daughter Ebony. And now the fun is over because my house looks like a cyclone has passed through so me thinks I need to clean!

Inspired By Nature

The only down side to be coming a Stampin Up! demonstrator (yes there is a downside!) is not being able to have everything at once...But finally I have the stampset I have been drooling over ever since I first spyed it in the catalogue. "Inspired By Nature" (115826)  was made for lazy stampers like me!! I like to do quick easy cards that can be made with minimum fuss and this set fits the bill perfectly. I have done the flowers using Stampin' Write markers (always artichoke, perfect plum and chocolate chip) on a whisper white background...off to my stamp room to think of more ideas for this set....

Baroque Motifs

I don't know why I waited so long to buy this set!! (Baroque Motifs 116340).The swirl is beautiful and can be used for so many occasions like Christmas and weddings and can be tizzied up by adding the stamped motifs which come with the set or by adding punched flowers like I did in this case using the Boho Blossoms punch ( 110711). It would have looked better with antique brads but I don't have any just yet....they are on my wish list!

Embrace Life

Embrace Life is still one of my favourite stamps sets, this flower is so pretty. I have used my Aquapainters to colour the flowers with Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette and Regal Rose. I had planned on sharing more in this post but I accidently deleted the photos on my camera lol..oh well next time!

Regionals Swap

OOps nearly forgot...Thankyou to my upline Angie who kindly gave me a lift to the Stampin' Up regionals in Brisbane ( Angie on right) We sat with some lovely ladies and learned some new ideas and also got to swap
cards with fellow demonstrators
I made some tealight flowers using the flower from the Something Sweet set (117699) We make these in our free workshops so you really should think about making a booking!

Something Sweet

Heelllooo...is this not the cutest set ever!! Designed to go with the Sweet Treat Cups (116802) and 1 3/4 inch circle punch (112004) , Something Sweet (117699) will have your brain ticking over for new ideas...Rudolph is my grand daughters favourite here are a few others...with or without lollies they are loads of fun for the person on the receiving end!

sigh...if I wasn't so tired I would play a bit more with this set
That's about it for now...if you are interested in coming along to one of my classes, please send me an email for details wotzup@bigpond.net.au

Butterfly Prints

Gotta love it when Stampin' Up design punches to go with their stamps!!  This is one of the cards we made in a recent free workshop. The stamps ( 117711) and Punch (116629) make creating a simple card ...well....simple! Lovin the David Jones butterfly lol

This one here used flowers from the Petal Pizzaz set (115850) This would be my number one pick for Scrapbooking as I use a lot of flowers on my pages...so many different ways to layer those beautiful flowers!

Animal Stories

This was one of the stamp sets that didn't do it for me at first but now it's one of my favourites! Animal Stories (117705) is great for baby and kids cards

This photo doesn't show the detail very well (at all really!!) but I used Heat &Stick powder ( 100625) with dazzling Diamonds (102023) on the little elephants..I love craft cardstock teamed with pastels.
I stamped the owl onto a branch from the "Embrace Life" (114269) set and added the tiny flower from the "For Everything' set.

Terrible photo sorry! This little whale is adorable and goes so well with the "Something Fishy" jumbo wheel.
Loving the Giraffe too...not colours I usually go for but it's different lol

Totally Tools

Totally Tools (115894) is a great one for guy cards, the little tools can be used in a number of ways.. For this I stamped the images, coloured them with Aquapainters and added Crystal Effects over the top then cut them out to add to a nail bag. The nail bag was made to look like suede by spritzing the cardstock with water and gently rubbing away the top layer to leave a rough textured finish. To add the stitched pockets I used my Paper piercing template

Voila!!

Ok , this one isn't in the Summer Mini but 'VOILA"  (116432) is one of my newest additions and I LOVE it!! That little chef is so cute.I saw this pop up card on You Tube created by a lady called Nancy (sorry couldn't find any other details) and had to give it a go. Now I need to buy the Voila a la Carte (115944) because the turkey on his serving platter would make this a great Christmas card for something a little bit different.

I used the birthday cake on this one and gave him black pants this time....So easy to colour with the Aquapainters and I just used Basic Black Stampin Write marker for the grey shading on his coat.

Summer Mini is here!!

It was so great to be able to show all my customers the fantastic new products available in the new Summer Mini catalogue!! I have a few personal favourites and there are one or two sets which I wasn't overly fond of when I first saw them but now that I have had a chance to play they have made it to my "must have " list. The treat cups are so cute and my little grand daughters loved the Rudolf with the shiny red M&M nose...The Something Sweet set is a blast to play around with and the 'For Everything ' set is very versatile and I find myself already using it over and over...I shall post some examples in catagories!

Our next class

For someone who took such pride in their scrapbooking my photos of class examples could only be described as naff at best!!!! (Note to self...spend more time on example photos) This is next weeks class (Friday 20th Nov). We will be making two cards, another variation of a gift card holder (and with Xmas coming up these will be very handy!) and a little mini chocolate holder...as usual we will do another bonus project...something fun...when I think of it lol. I have to say our classes are beginning to grow in number since we introduced the bring a buddy system....two new ladies last week...although poor Michelle wasn't used to late nights and needed to go nigh nigh...she assures me she will have a nanna nap this week before she comes. I would like to thank the ladies who have become my regulars, your support means so much to me. Two of my regulars earn their free class this week..yay for Becky and Kylie!!!
I must mention that because we are starting to grow I will need definate bookings at least by Friday morning so I can have enough packs prepared for everyone...it isn't as simple as waving a magic wand and poof!!! everything is cut up...I have to spend hours slaving over my trimmer..poor me!
Stay tuned for the next class on the 27th....it's so cool!! Some cute little gift ideas I will post a pic within the next few days..catch you later

Next Class

I love this colour combo-Whisper White, Basic Black and Kiwi Kiss. This Friday nights class (29th October) we will be making three items. The first is a card with a clear overlay and using Stamps from Embrace Life and Dreams Du Jour (love that butterfly, so versatile!) The second card has a double flap opening and the background is stamped with my very first background stamp En Francais..love it love it, can't wait to get more background stamps. The third is a very useul item...if you are anything like me you may have some people you simply cannot buy gifts for so you resort to gift cards..this is a nifty little gift card holder which looks so much better than the naff offering that comes when you purchase store gift cards. If you would like to book in email me wotzup@bigpond.net.au  and I will prepare a pack for you. Cost is $20 which includes all materials ( except snail adhesive) and includes tea/ coffee and supper. We usually start around 7 pm and finish...whenever!! usually a  lot of chatter after the class!

Over the coming weeks I will include an item in each class that will help you out with Christmas gift ideas....stamping on candles is coming up the following week and I  have quite a few people booked already so you may have to let me know if you would like to do this class so I can reserve a place for you. We will also be making a watercoloured card ...I will probably run this class on both Friday and Saturday night so email me if you would like to come. Cost is $20 which includes all materials (except snail adhesive) and includes tea/ coffee and supper...the girls are partial to wedges and sour cream lol

Oct 19, 2009

This Fridays nights class we will be making two cards, a bookmark and a  little hair clip holder ( a cute gift idea). Love the Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze together and the Sweet Always stamps are gorgeous!  If you would be interested in attending a class, buying products or would like me to customize a workshop for you just send me an email and I will get back to you

I would like to introduce you to my beautiful new grand daughter "Sophie Rose". Her big sisters Emily and Ella were glad to finally meet their baby sister and Emily was given the honour of naming her (thank goodness as Ella was gunning for Google Eyes! lol) I have been asked to create a layout for Scrapbooking Memories so little Sophie will soon have her face in a magazine...just as soon as I decide which designer paper to use!

Well I got there!! Last Friday night we had our first stamping class...it was all at very short notice as I didn't think my stamping room would be ready in time but Hubby spent hours fixing up the tables and installing an air conditioner so it was ready set go!!! Our debut class was Crazy For Cupcakes (love that stamp set..sooo cute!!) We made three cards incorporating water colouring paper piecing and heat embossing..the ladies were all beginners, new to stamping and were amazed at how easy it was to create a stylish card with just a few products.

This was our first card where we created the cupcake by stamping it onto cardstock and designer paper and then pieced the cake together. The scallop was made using the slit punch.

On our next card we used the masking technique to create the bunch of balloons. Some crystal effects over the top added some shine

The last card used the cupcake stand...that frosting screamed out for some dazzling diamonds...I still have it all over my face.
These cards were all made using Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Regal Rose cardstock and designer papers from the Sweet Always and Bella Rose ranges
