Abracadabra! A Magic Card

I have been wanting to do one of these for ages but when I was at the Newsagency the other day I saw one and it jogged my memory...
I used Inspired by Nature to stamp the grasses on the front of the card base and the bird and butterfly are from the Every Moment set.

You pull up the card and the image goes from black and white to colour!! Have a go at making one, they are easy!
* I have had a few people ask how I made this one...I copied one I saw at the newsagency but it would probably be easiest just to google magic card....I just did and there are quite a few tutorials...much easier than me trying to explain the method to my madness!

Aroma gift pack

I love the Reject Shop!! I always find cool little goodies at that place. Last week I came across these glass tubes filled with incense sticks and knew I would have to come up with a way of using them. Well done to those clever people who always come up with original templates, it was a lot harder than I thought to get the dimensions just right for this..anyway it turned out ok...I used Inspired By Nature to stamp the front cover
And this is the inside...I made a little box thingy and tucked scented drawer sachets in the pocket...cute little gift I reckon...we will be making these in class this week...btw the sentiment is one of the free saleabration stamps sets ...I have the other three sets on the way woohoo, gotta love free sruff!

Inspired by Nature-Again

Hmm flash photography not so great...will stick to natural light next time. I saw the idea somewhere of using both gold and silver embossing powder and loved the idea...it looks so much better in real life (trust me?) I used markers to stamp the flower and then stamped  En Francais background  over the top with versamark and embossed with silver and gold...The gold around the edges was done with a gold face painting crayon...it actually worked quite well..glad I rescued it from my daughters room clean up a while ago!

Inspired By Nature

The only down side to be coming a Stampin Up! demonstrator (yes there is a downside!) is not being able to have everything at once...But finally I have the stampset I have been drooling over ever since I first spyed it in the catalogue. "Inspired By Nature" (115826)  was made for lazy stampers like me!! I like to do quick easy cards that can be made with minimum fuss and this set fits the bill perfectly. I have done the flowers using Stampin' Write markers (always artichoke, perfect plum and chocolate chip) on a whisper white background...off to my stamp room to think of more ideas for this set....
