Dasher Strikes Again

This is one of the easiest cards I have ever made but I love using black and white together...I have used the So Swirly wheel for the back ground and Dasher on the front.
This one is cased...I have seen several versions so I am unsure of the original creator..but whoooo ever that was...it's such a cute idea..(I am using up my retired papers)...

Recycled Treat Holder

Hi Everyone! I don't know how people manage to update their blogs on a regular basis, I seem to run out of time...but here is a simple offering for today..
This little treat holder is made from the packaging from my Stampin' Up! clear block....I cut designer paper to fit inside and also cut a piece of window sheet the same size as the paper to act as a barrier between the lollies and the designer paper. It will stop the colour rubbing off the  lollies and ruining the paper..The  front is stamped with Staz On ink (leave the block inside the packaging to do this so the  plastic doesnt buckle when you try to stamp) . I half filled with lollies (since I ate the rest!!!) then added a stamped image from the level 2 stamp set Apple Blossoms. Its finished off with some Daffodil Delight ribbon...

Since you are already here I will show you a few simple cards I made last week..I am loving Marina Mist, it's such a pretty blue. The stamp set used for this one is Great Friend and I embossed the background with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder
This is another very simple card using the Elegant Lines embossing folder, Beautiful Wings embossilit and teh very pretty Scallop trim punch...That's all for now I am going to try and post at least once a week from now on...in an ideal world lol

I hope you enjoyed  Pauline Bennets wonderful creations.....here are a few of my own

This turned out pretty cool considering it was made from mostly recycled materials...This candle centrpiece would look pretty on wedding tables...I started with a base made from a cardboard circle from an empty ribbon spool which I covered with alfoil..The leaves were cut from coke cans with the Leaves #2 die . I have embossed some of them with the Elegant Lines embossing folder. I used a hot glue gun to arrange the leaves over the base...the actual candle holder part is the bottom of a coke can and I added a bit of bling. The butterflies are Wonderful Wings embosselits and I used Vellum cardstock for those and added some bling to their centres

Those butterflies are soooo pretty...love em!

Sticking with the wedding theme, I made this bride card using a template I found on Jan Tinks blog. The Elegant Lines Embossing folder reminds me of beautiful bridal fabric. Her bouquet is made with a scalloped circle punched from vellum cardstock. The roses are actually quite small...I punched some 1 3/8 circles. I just cut them into spirals and rolled them up...I didn't use the whole circle, I just cut off the excess when the roses were as big as I needed.

I have to thank Jane Norrish for teaching me this wonderful technique..it's called double embossing and it looks so effective. The Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder was brayered with versamark, then the designer paper was placed in the folder and run through the Bigshot...It was then heat embossed with Black embossing powder..I then added the Wonderful Wings butterflies.

Last of all a simple dress up job..I got this memo block at the junk shop for $1...what a bargain...I added a few butterflies and leaves just to tizzy it uop a bit..that's what I love about the Bigshot, it's so vesatile..not only for cards but to make everyday items look a bit special!

A Few Bits and Pieces

Whew, it's been a busy few weeks and I haven't had a chance to blog...here are a few items I have been playing with this week.
I have lots of ideas for Dasher, but for now a very plain and simple one..I love River Rock and red together.
Another simple card using the Level 1 Hostess Set Because I Care. I have spritzed the background with Old Olive and coloured the flower with perfect plum..the photo doesn't show the 3 D effect of all the individual flowers I added with dimensionals.
This is a case of a card we did at a recent shoe box swap...Lesley Annabel was the original creator...so simple yet sweet.
.....and here is the cute owl  again. I used the branch from Cheep Talk and added some punched flowers...

And last of all a very simple little lollypop holder...I have seen several versions of these about the place. I made these for swaps at regionals on Saturday because I am pushed for time and needed something simple...check back on Saturday for another ESAD bloghop featuring lots of bigshot ideas!

ESAD New Catty Blog Hop

Yahoo!!! Today is my birthday and Stampin' Up! have released the new 2010/11 catalogue in my honour!! Ok that may be stretching the truth but what a great birthday gift!!
I hope you enjoy the ESAD Bloghop, grab a cuppa and enjoy the journey!!

What is ESAD?

ESAD stands for Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators and it is an online group just for Australian and New Zealand demonstrators for Stampin’Up!
We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors but we share our lovefor what we do with each other as Demonstrators. So if you are a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand then please feel free to click here to join our wonderful group.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the wonderful creations on offer at Andrea Buckland's Blog  What a clever lady she is!!
Without further ado here are my little creations.

I made this cute little baby gift set in one of my favourite colours, Baja Breeze
I bought a cheap papier mache box from the junk shop and used the scallop circle die to make a top and bottom for the box. They have been covered with a very pretty paper from the new Greenhouse Gala designer series paper pack  (117167). The flowers have been made with the new XL Fancy Flower punch ( 118076). I simply wet and crumpled four punches for each flower..I finished it off with the pretty a la carte stamp, All a Flutter (119194)
I love these little baby shoes!! The flowers were stamped with one of the flowers from the For Everything Set ( 116686) and I added the smallest flower from the Boho Blossoms punch to the centres. I made some of these a few years ago for my grand daughters fairy party (fairy slippers) and they were a huge hit..They are also great for baby showers filled with cello bags of chocolates.

The ark was made using tutorial from Lynn Pratt. ( you can find her here) I was so happy to see Fox and Friends (119165)  make its way into the new catty...such a cute little set!
This is the other side of the ark featuring the ever so cute owls
The last item in my bay gift set is a card using the Baby Tees jumbo wheel (118621) . I kept this simple with a white embossed background and white taffeta bow

My next offering is a little set that would be great for demonstrators to take to their workshops
OMG how cute is this owl!!!! The 2 step XL Owl (118074) is going to be very popular, how could you possibly resist buying this little fellow.. The Appointment book is covered in one of the papers from the  Greenhouse   Gala desgner series papers. I have added a pen holder to the front. The business card holder and keyring take just minutes to make and would be terrific little teacher gifts. I also made a ruler for this set but it seems to have gone walkabout
If you would like to order anything from the new catty (link in my sidebar) just contact me at wotzup@bigpond.net.au
